Open Call: €50,000 Funding Opportunity for Agri-Food and Circular Bioeconomy Innovators

Are you a startup or SME developing innovative solutions for the agri-food and circular bioeconomy sectors?

The AGRI-BIOCIRCULAR-HUB Open Call is now open, offering up to 12 selected projects a €50,000 grant to test, validate, demonstrate, and scale innovative products, services, and processes that contribute to a more sustainable future.

Challenge Areas

The call is looking for innovative solutions addressing one of the following seven challenge areas:

1. Circular nutrients and fertiliser independence
2. Soil health and peat-free growing media
3. Low-emission manure and residue valorisation
4. Water-smart farming and runoff reduction
5. Bio-based farm inputs and end-of-life solutions
6. Data-driven Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and input reduction
7. Agricultural practices integrating bio-circular principles

Evaluation Criteria

Applications will be assessed based on:

• Excellence (25%)
• Impact and Ambition (25%)
• Implementation (25%)
• Budget and Value for Money (25%)

Additional bonus points may also be awarded.

Key Dates

Application Deadline: 31 July 2026 (17:00 Brussels time)
Evaluation Period: August – September 2026
Notification of Results: October 2026
Sub-Grant Agreement Signature: 15 October – 15 November 2026
